The Photographer
Brooklyn born photographer, Marjorie Becker, has been making images for over 10 years. She combines her love of art and animals by creating intimate portraits of pets and their owners.
She studied photography at Drexel University. Going in as an aspiring photo-journalist, she discovered a profound connection to art and the study of light that drove her to photographing Philadelphia's untamed wilderness in Fairmount Park.
Her connection to the animal world came much later when she studied dog behavior and became a professional dog trainer in New York City. After several years working with dogs and cats she decided to combine her two passions and specialize in animal portraiture.
She currently lives in Brooklyn with her dog, Marzipan, and works as a freelance photographer.
